The federal lawsuit filed that past week against. Prince William County paints a broad picture of those who believe they will be affected by the crackdown on illegal immigration.
The 22 plaintiffs are a mix of identified and unidentified men, women and children who live or work in the county. Their legal status runs the spectrum.
“They all have a different set of circumstances, different situations, and I think it speaks to what is so complicated about this issue,” said Cesar Perales, president of the Puerto Rican Legal Defense and Education Fund. “I don’t think the American public understands that so many of the undocumented are members of what I would call mixed
The fund is one of the groups that filed the suit Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Alexandria, asking a judge to declare Prince William’s illegal-immigration measures unconstitutional. A July resolution directed county officers to check the immigration status of anyone in police custody who they have probable cause to believe is an illegal immigrant. It also asked county employees to look for ways to lawfully deny services to illegal immigrants.

I don’t see what’s so complicated with the ILLIGAL immigrant problem. IF they are here ILLIGALLY they get deported, seems simple enough to me. I don’t need to here all the crap about how they have family here or one parent is legal and the other isn’t. You people are always wanting to blame everyone and everything else for these CRIMMINALS plight. The fact of the matter is they have KNOWN ALL along that from the very begining what THEY were doing was and is ILLEGAL. They also KNEW that if they ever got caught they would be deported. Know I will give you that for some reason that escapes logic to me our gov’t has seen fit to GIVE citizenship to ANY child born on U.S. soil. Even IF both parents are ILLEGAL. A policy that has complicated the situation, because now we have legal children and illegal parents. With that having been said, I still believe it’s simple. The RULE of LAW must be upheld and the ILLEGAL part of the equation has got to be documented and then deported. Once this is done I see (2) choices, (1) the legal part of the equation stays here by some means (NOT THE TAXPAYERS) and waits for the ILLEGAL part of the equation to become legal. (2) The legal part of the equation goes back to thier home country and stays until ALL parts of the equation are legal and then comes back together.
