Head over to the Town Dance Boutique (2009 8th Street NW) to hear stories on parental phone tapping, learning the birds and the bees, a Harriet the Spy wannabe, and more. 6:30 p.m. doors, 8 p.m. show. $10 cover, or $20 for cover and all-you-can-eat buffet. ANNIVERSARY: Room 11 (3234 11th Street NW) celebrates its first anniversary with complimentary glasses of Spanish sparkling wine and specials on wine and cocktails all night. (We recommend the very refreshing Andy Murray.) 5 p.m.-1 a.m. MOVIES: The U Street Movie Series continues tonight with a showing of The Soloist , starring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr. Free popcorn for the first 100 attendees. Gates open at the field at Harrison Recreation Center (V Street between 13th and 14th Streets NW) at 7 p.m. Movie starts at sundown (around 8:30 p.m.). Free. MUSIC: Pack a picnic and rock out (classically) to George Thorogood and the Destroyers at Wolf Trap . The Robert Cray Band opens. $25-42, 7:30 p.m. FAIR: Bring your grandma and head over to the Howard County Fair (2210 Fairground Road, West Friendship, MD) — it’s Senior Night ! Adults 62 years and older get in free. Come for the Saddle Guys and Gals Drill Team Demonstration at 7 p.m., oldies band Big Cam & The Lifters at 7:30 and 9 p.m., and a Slow Tractor Race at 8 p.m. Children under 10 also get in free tonight, everyone else’s admission is $5.
