A Slow News Day At The Washington Post

washington_post_logo.jpg

What’s a cheerleader to do when the big man on campus is tanking?  Well, whether you’re the Washington Post you report that:

The wildfires in Southern California that week have served to remind the world once more about one of the singular and underappreciated skills of George W. Bush: The man is a generous hugger.

Starts a war based on lies?  Pffft.  Denies health care for 10 million children?  Yesterday’s news. Makes torture the official policy of the United States?  He’s protecting us.  Treats the structure like birdcage

liner?  He’s the decider.  What’s vital to remember is, Mr. 24% is a generous hugger.

Granted, the scoop does mention in the interest of, “journalistic skepticism,” (snicker) that Bush’s hugs are simply photo op fodder, but soon after goes on to say that they are:

…athletic, energetic, nearly muscular quality to them. They seem, in a word, genuine.

Well, certain.  There’s nothing more genuine than a photo op as towering as they have a macho quality to them.
